What exactly is Muratina?
Muratina is a traditional Kenyan alcoholic beverage. It is artisanally brewed using pure, high-quality honey and sugarcane. The drink is deeply rooted in the culture of the Kikuyu community in Kenya.
How does Muratina taste?
It has a unique and surprising flavor profile. You can taste the natural, rich sweetness of honey and sugarcane, perfectly balanced by a refreshing, slightly tart finish with a fine sparkle.
What is the difference between the Original and Premium variants?
- Muratina Original (7% ABV) is lighter, very refreshing, and easy to drink. It is a fantastic alternative to cider or specialty beer.
- Muratina Premium (11% ABV) has a higher alcohol content, a fuller body, and a more complex taste. Ideal for those who enjoy a deeper wine experience.
What is the best way to serve Muratina?
Always drink Muratina ice-cold (between 4 and 8 degrees)! It is a delicious aperitif on a summer terrace and goes excellently with grilled meat, such as the traditional Kenyan nyama choma.

Is there an age check upon delivery?
Yes, absolutely. We do not sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 (NIX18). The parcel delivery driver is required to perform an ID check at the door. The package cannot be left with neighbors either.
What is the delivery time for my order?
The exact delivery time depends on the partner webshop where you complete your order. Typically, orders are delivered within 1 to 3 business days throughout the Netherlands.
